Martin Ince is an expert on global schemes for university ranking, with a deep knowledge of how they are produced and how they are used.

He set up the Times Higher/QS World University Rankings in 2004. Now published by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, they are one of the principal ranking systems for international higher education. He now chairs the QS Advisory Board on rankings systems.
